Daily for iPhone · last updated 26 August 2026

Daily collects nothing. There is no account, no server, no analytics and no tracking. Everything you write stays on your iPhone.

What Daily stores

Your tasks, notes, whiteboard ideas, theme choice and reminder settings are saved in the app's own storage on your device. They are never transmitted anywhere. I have no way to read them, and no way to recover them for you if they are lost.

Your data is included in your iPhone's own backups (iCloud Backup or an encrypted computer backup) if you have those turned on. Those backups are governed by Apple's privacy policy, not this one. Deleting Daily deletes its data from the device.

What Daily does not do

Notifications

If you turn on the daily reminder, the notification is scheduled locally by iOS on your device. Nothing is sent through a push server, and the reminder contains no task content.

Daily wallpaper

The wallpaper feature generates an image of your year grid on your device and hands it to Apple Shortcuts, which you set up yourself. The image never leaves your iPhone, and Shortcuts is Apple software governed by Apple's terms.

Tips

The optional tip jar uses Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple processes the payment and I never see your payment details — only anonymous, aggregated sales figures in App Store Connect. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Children

Daily is safe for any age. Since it collects no data at all, it collects nothing from children either.

Changes

If a future version of Daily ever collects anything, this page will say so plainly before that version ships, and the change will be listed in the release notes.
